Academy Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to courses, programmes and mentorship offered by the Academy of Holistic Healing Arts (“the Academy”) and/or Marina Danilova.

By enrolling in an Academy programme, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in addition to the general Terms & Conditions of the Marina Danilova website. Where these terms contain provisions specific to Academy training, these provisions apply.

1. Enrolment and Programme Information

The Academy provides professional education and ongoing development for practitioners and students.

Each programme has its own eligibility requirements, content, teaching format, dates, fees and period of access. These are described on the relevant programme page or in the programme information provided at enrolment.

It is the Student's responsibility to ensure that they meet any prerequisites specified for the programme before enrolling.

2. Programme Delivery and Access

Programmes may include recorded teaching, live online classes, course materials, case discussions and other learning activities, as specified for each programme.

Access to programme materials is provided for the period stated in the programme information. Access is personal to the enrolled Student and may not be shared with another person.

The Academy may make reasonable changes to teaching materials, class content, schedules or methods of delivery where necessary to maintain or improve the quality of the training or for operational reasons. Any significant changes affecting Students will be communicated in advance wherever reasonably possible.

3. Participation and Student Conduct

Students are expected to maintain a professional, considerate and respectful standard of behaviour in live classes, online discussions and all interactions with the Academy and other Students.

The Academy reserves the right to suspend or end a Student's participation in cases of serious or repeated inappropriate, disruptive, unsafe or abusive behaviour.

Students are encouraged to attend live classes and engage with the learning opportunities provided. Failure to attend classes, watch recordings or complete learning activities does not entitle the Student to an extension, rescheduling or refund.

4. Confidentiality and Clinical Cases

Students may encounter personal, professional or clinical information shared by other Students during classes, case discussions or other Academy activities. This information must be treated as confidential and must not be shared outside the Academy without the permission of the person concerned.

Where Students present cases from their own clinical practice, they are responsible for protecting patient confidentiality and removing information that could identify the patient.

Students must comply with their own professional, ethical and data protection responsibilities when discussing clinical cases.

5. Intellectual Property

All teaching, recordings, presentations, course materials, documents and other content provided by the Academy remain the intellectual property of the Academy or their respective copyright holders.

Programme materials are provided solely for the personal educational use of the enrolled Student.

They may not be reproduced, recorded, copied, shared, published, distributed, sold, taught or otherwise made available to another person without prior written permission from the Academy.

6. Live Classes and Recordings

Live online classes may be recorded and made available to Students enrolled in current or future Academy programmes.

Recordings may include Students' names, voices, images, chat contributions and participation in discussions.

Students who prefer not to appear visually in a recording may keep their camera turned off. Students should be aware that speaking during a recorded class will result in their voice and contribution being included in the recording.

Programme recordings are intended solely for educational use within Academy programmes and will not be used publicly or for marketing without separate permission.

7. Certificates and Professional Responsibility

Where specified, Students who complete a programme will receive a Certificate of Completion stating the relevant teaching hours.

A Certificate of Completion does not in itself confer a professional qualification, licence to practise, or right to use a particular professional title.

Students are responsible for ensuring that their use of Chinese herbal medicine or any other material taught by the Academy falls within their professional competence, insurance cover and the legal or regulatory requirements applicable in the country or region where they practise.

Any Continuing Professional Development recognition is subject to the requirements of the Student's own professional association.

8. Fees and Instalment Payments

Programme fees and available payment options are stated on the relevant programme page or enrolment information.

Where payment by instalments is offered, the instalment arrangement is a payment plan for the programme fee rather than payment for individual classes or months of participation, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Students who choose an instalment plan remain responsible for payments due under that plan, subject to applicable cancellation rights and these Terms & Conditions.

If a payment becomes overdue, the Academy may temporarily suspend access to programme materials, classes or other programme services until payment has been received.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any cancellation or refund rights that a Student has under applicable consumer law.

Where a Student enrols online as a consumer, they may have a statutory right to cancel their purchase within 14 days of entering into the contract.

Once the applicable cancellation period has passed, refunds are not normally provided because a Student changes their mind, is unable to attend, or chooses not to complete the programme. Any request arising from exceptional circumstances will be considered individually.

10. Changes or Cancellation by the Academy

Occasionally, the Academy may need to change the date or time of a live class because of illness, emergency or other circumstances. Where possible, an alternative class date will be arranged or an appropriate alternative will be provided.

If the Academy cancels a programme before it begins and is unable to provide a suitable alternative, Students will receive a refund of programme fees paid for that programme.

If circumstances beyond the Academy's reasonable control affect programme delivery, the Academy may reschedule classes, provide recordings, change the method of delivery or make other reasonable arrangements to enable the programme to continue.

11. Technology and Communication

Students are responsible for having suitable internet access, equipment and software to participate in online training. The Academy is not responsible for technical difficulties arising from a Student's own equipment, internet connection or other systems outside the Academy's control.

Programme information, class links, resources and important notices may be communicated by email or through the designated learning platform. Students are responsible for providing an accurate email address and checking programme communications regularly.

12. Data Protection

Personal information provided to the Academy is used for purposes including programme administration, communication, delivery of training, payment administration and, where applicable, issuing certificates.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Academy's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection requirements.

Information will not be sold to third parties.

13. General Terms

These Academy Terms & Conditions should be read together with the general Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy available on the Marina Danilova website.

If any provision of these Academy Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, this will not affect the remaining provisions.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
