Whole-person care in Henley-on-Thames, UK and online
Chinese Medicine Clinic for Women’s Health
Welcome to Marina Danilova Clinic!
As a Chinese medicine practitioner and registered naturopath, I help women with chronic and complex health conditions.
Many health concerns are interconnected. Hormonal changes, digestion, immunity, metabolism, sleep, energy, mood, and stress all influence one another. Understanding these relationships is an essential part of understanding - and recovering - health.
The principles of Chinese medicine form the foundation of my clinical approach. Rather than focusing solely on the health issue itself, my aim is to understand why it has developed and to create whole-person treatment strategies that support lasting change. Treatment is centred on Chinese herbal medicine and supported, where appropriate, by nutrition, lifestyle guidance, and contemporary clinical knowledge.
I support women through all stages of life, including:
Menstrual Health: PMS, PMDD, painful or irregular periods.
Chronic Complex Conditions: endometriosis, adenomyosis, PCOS, abdominal masses and dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
Fertility and Motherhood: preconception support, pregnancy care and postpartum recovery.
Midlife Transition: perimenopause and menopause care.
Chronic Immunity Issues: recurring infections, chronic inflammation, immune dysregulation, autoimmune conditions.
General health: enhancing overall health and vitality.
Every woman’s experience is unique, and so is her treatment at my clinic.

Health is rarely shaped by a single factor. I seek to understand how different aspects of your health relate to one another, creating treatment strategies that address the underlying pattern rather than isolated concerns.

HOW IT WORKS
1.
INITIAL CONSULTATION: from DISCOVERY to ROADMAP TO HEALTH
We start with a comprehensive review of your current concerns and health history. We establish a holistic diagnosis, and discuss your health goals. This forms the foundation for a personalised treatment plan, tailored to your unique needs.
2.
FOLLOW-UP CONSULTS: IMPROVEMENT MONITORING
We meet regularly, once or twice a month, for follow-up consultations to track the progress of the treatment and make adjustments if necessary. That’s when we secure the herbal formula and the lifestyle actions for the next period.
3.
YEARLY CHECK-UPS: SUPPORT FOR LASTING HEALTH
Once we have achieved the results you’re happy with, I continue to support you as needed. Meeting a few times a year allows us to spot potential imbalances early and ensure you remain on the path to optimal health.

Where appropriate, your treatment may also include acupuncture, targeted nutritional supplementation, or laboratory and functional medicine testing to provide additional clinical information.
Treatment is introduced in realistic, manageable steps that are designed to fit your life and support lasting, sustainable improvements.

Herbal formula is a combination of a few herbs, usually 5 to 10. It is designed specially for you and is being modified as the treatment progresses. In our clinic in Henley-on-Thames we have our own apothecary of whole herbs of the highest quality which allows us to mix herbs for you right at the clinic.
You will receive detailed instructions how to prepare and take the herbs at home.
Alternatively, you may be offered herbs in a form of concentrated extracts, a pill or a capsule. The options will be discussed at the Initial consultation.

Herbs and drugs may enhance, counteract, or antagonise the therapeutic effect of each other. When we prescribe herbs, we review all your medications, pharmaceutical or natural, to ensure safety and optimal results. Usually, it is not a problem to take herbs alongside prescription medication.
