The Advanced Application (CHM-A) programme is designed for practitioners who have previously trained at the Academy of Holistic Healing Arts. It is the second step in the three-part Chinese Herbal Medicine Certification curriculum as of 2024.
The clinical focus of the programme is on common chronic conditions frequently encountered in practice. Some relate to women's health, including endometriosis, PMOS, uterine masses, abnormal uterine bleeding, and the care of women during pregnancy and the post-partum period. Others affect all genders and involve the digestive, endocrine, and immune systems, often presenting with chronic inflammation and/or recurring infection.
Throughout the programme, we explore how these conditions can be understood and differentiated through the lens of classical Chinese medicine, and how Chinese herbal medicine can be applied as part of a holistic, individualised treatment approach.
We also engage with biomedical research on commonly used herbs and formulas, integrating contemporary evidence where it enhances our clinical understanding and informs practice.
